This fragrance blew me away. From the first spray, it feels luxurious yet effortless. The opening has this creamy, slightly spicy note that instantly grabs attention without being overpowering. As it settles, the scent turns warm and smooth with hints of amber and soft wood. it’s sophisticated but still modern. What I love most is how versatile it is. It’s refined enough for a date night or formal event, but I’ve also worn it casually during the day, and I get compliments every single time. The longevity is impressive for an EDT too—I can still smell it on my clothes hours later. The bottle design deserves its own mention: classic Valentino elegance with that edgy studded texture that looks amazing on my dresser. If you like warm, creamy woods with a refined masculine edge, this is definitely worth trying. It’s confident, classy, and unique—exactly what I want in a signature scent.

Milky Lavender with a Touch of Smokiness

Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Ivory is the latest and is a limited edition from the BIR line. I was expecting something light, clean, and aldehydic from the snow white bottle and packaging. However, BIR Ivory is actually dense and is different from other fragrances from the same line. At the beginning, it is fresh from the bergamot and is milky, possibly from the woodsy note. The fireplace and smoke accord, which make this fragrance unique, show up after 2 hours along with the sweetness from lavender. BIR Ivory isn't as smoky as MMM By the Fireplace, which is more wearable in the hotter weather IMO. The sweetness from lavender and wood lingers for more than 6 hours. I believe this fragrance is more suitable in the colder weather and in a night-out setting due to the pronounced sweetness. Although this fragrance is targeting the male population, indicated by the word Uom,o which means man in Italian, I think BIR Ivory is quite unisex.

Great perfume for any occasion

I loved this perfume from Valentino! It’s a creamy, woody scent with hints of lavender and citrus. The scent is strong and projects well, lasting the whole day. It’s an amazing perfume for daily use and is not an overpowering scent, making it perfect for any occasion. The bottle design and packaging was well made and feels premium.

Pretty good but not my favorite

The scent on this fragrance is very unique. To me it smells very masculine and woodsy. Almost reminiscent of an old axe hair cream I used to use. It’s not my favorite fragrance but i definitely is good for daytime. It doesn’t last the longest but that is expected because it is an EDT. The packaging is very beautiful as well with the same design as the other Valentino fragrances with a very pretty cream color. Overall I’m more into unisex scents that lean a bit more masculine but with sweeter notes.

Smoky wood smell

I really like the design of these Born in Roma Valentino colognes. They’re so unique.. Because of the color of the bottle, I was expecting a fresh vanilla scent. However, it was the total opposite. This Valentino settles into a nice smoky wood. This is definitely a cologne for the upcoming winter days. I like it, it’s not too overpowering. It has a light scent, so you’ll have to spray 5-6 times.

Initially nice, wooden, musky. Loses smell and str

This cologne definitely has some nice wooden and musky notes. I do have a problem with how the cologne smells with time. It loses it’s wooden smell and strength. It ends up smelling almost like, musty in a way. This is not good, a cologne should not be smelling weird with an hour or two. This cologne also loses its strength with time too easily. I have tried many colognes this year, and this is definitely one of them I would not wear again. I usually love this brand, just not this scent.

This cologne is so elegant in both looks and smell. When sprayed, not only does it spray elegantly, but it lasts a while for the scent to fade away. The amount it has for the price is almost a steal.

Never have tried a Valentino cologne before but I am very happy. It is a light, modern, and inviting scent with a perfect blend of spice and sweetness. It lasts all day long as well.
