The texture is lighter and feels more hydrating, it sinks into my skin immediately, but it isn't as occlusive as the original. So for me, I prefer the new water cream version during the spring and summer when it's hot because it's so lightweight on my skin. During day and winter when my skin is drying out, that's when I'll want the original Magic Cream in my routine. It's heavier, denser, more moisturizing, etc. Perfect for the cooler months. I love this one as much as the original - they both have a purpose in my routine at different times of the year.

My skin gets dry - whether it’s from the hot weather and the AC in the summer or the dry heat and low humidity indoors in the winter. I was excited to try Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Water Cream and I love it! The jar is pretty and easy to open. The gel cream is easy to apply. It’s thick enough that it doesn’t slide off your fingers like slime, but not so thick you feel like you’re icing a cake. It goes on nicely and feels light and refreshing. Most importantly, it keeps my skin hydrated all day.

I love CT’s magic cream but this became my new favorite! This really works!! Last week, I traveled to Colorado and using this water cream was like drinking water x10 for my skin!!!! I do not like drinking water. But this really helped me fighting dry spins on my face. If you are doubting, go grab a small jar from Sephora and try it! Your skin will thank you!!!! I do not lie over free stuffs. If anyone reads this, this is a true statement. I love this cream so much and I just bought a bigger jar!! Get your allergy season dry spot remedy for your skin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted try CT Magic Cream when it came out but my oily skin wouldn't let me so I was elated when Water Magic Cream hit the stores. This is suitable for normal to oily/combination skin types. This product is easy to apply as it spreads onto skin easily and absorbs within a minute or two, giving skin a glass-like radiance that isn't greasy. The texture is more gel than cream and milky white in color. There is no fragrance in this product. After using for awhile my skin looks healthier, I have oily skin yet able to rock a glass skin look! I would purchase if you want to have glass skin.

At first, I was a little hesitant as it was a little more thick than my typical moisturizers, however I have come to realize this is actually a positive. It sits great on my face and acts as a wonderful primer/base for my makeup holding it very well. I will say the price point is a little high, but this is definitely a higher quality moisturizer than what I typically use (ponds, L’Oréal) and it shows. It does sweat off in high temperature but not horridly or unlike any other moisturizer/lotion. I would certainly recommend this!

It has a nice texture on your hands and melts into your face upon application. My face definitely felt moisturized after using it and it’s a great addition to the Fall rotation of products of your skin gets finicky about added moisture. My fave felt dry when I didn’t have it on. The price might be off-putting in this current economy but I got a sample-size to try and it was nice.
