wondering if my unit is working at full capacity

I received the Dyson Airstraight as a gift and was so excited because I had used one before and loved the results. I registered my serial number for the warranty and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. While I do like the product, I’ve noticed my hair isn’t coming out as sleek and frizz-free as when I used one previously. I’m using the same techniques and products, so I’m just wondering if my unit might not be performing at 100%. I really want to love this product as much as I expected to—it has so much potential! Would love to know if what I’m experiencing is normal or if my unit might need to be looked at.

I have fine, straight hair and I really enjoy using this as it allows me to dry and style my hair without any effort.

Straightens hair beautiful, but not the roots.

I have used the Airstrait several times. It does a fantastic job on my hair except for the 3” of roots near my scalp. I gave it a 4 because of this. I have to go and blow out my roots first with a round brush which to me, defeats the purpose of using one tool.

It is what I was looking for - it gives me the same effect as salons do - straight sleek hair (My hair is naturally thick frizzy and wavy)

Delicate 2 in 1 blower and hair straightener

I bought it 15 days ago. The blower was very efficient and good. I like the idea of 2 in 1, blower and hair straightener. I think it protects my hair for damages. I also like the fact that the iron gets hot right away compared to other hair straighteners that you need to wait for it to get hot before using it. It also has a self cleaning mode every time you turn it on and easy to clean. But while I start ironing my hair, the air that blows gets too hot. What I do not like is you can only use it 2 hours maximum a day, so basically it is only for personal use and cannot be share to others. I also do not feel that it is sturdy enough and not heavy duty. I think it requires delicate use. I think you are paying the brand not the product. The cord also is too heavy. I wish they can make something similar but travel friendly, so I can bring it anywhere, anytime without any hassle. I believe the product needs improvement and upgrade.

It is amazing for straightening hair. Super fast and without the damage a regular straightener does.

Really impressed

I received this as a present and am so impressed with it. It makes a noticeable difference to my hair and is a huge time saver too.

I love it for my hair just like the other Dyson hair products but sad because i bought without the case.

Very poor

The airstrait is big, bulky and heavy to use. Ollowed instructions and it didn't keep my hair straight for more than a couple of hrs before going frizzy. The plug is huge (approx the size of a sandwich box) and gets hot.

Has not left my wavy, frizzy hair very straight disappointed

Best hairdryer ever

This is the best hairdryer/straightener I have used. I have thick way hair it does the job amazingly. Does exactly what it is meant to do. Taken the stress out of hairdrying. Thank you

Great product

I bought this a month ago and have been so happy with the performance of the product. Easy to use and a great result. I have thick, naturally wavy frizzy hair that is prone to frizz on holiday in the humidity. I recently took this product to Turkey on holiday, not only did they function as they should, my hair has never looked and felt better on holiday!
