Rated 5 out of 5 by smokeyland from Delivers as promised Finally, a product that delivers what it promises. I live in an extremely dry climate with an altitude of 62,000 feet in the forest. I live with chapped lips all year long, not just winter months. So many products make the promise but just don't deliver any improvement but this product from Kiehl's is true to its word. It is Fabulous for me and actually works. I have tried other lip sleep masks with zero results but not this one, it truly delivers and not only gives me moisturized lips when I get up, but keeps on working throughout the morning. I really Love this stuff!. Hubby loves it for his good night kiss too, he even gets a dose.

This is the only product I've ever tried that lets me wake up to moisturized, soft, not-at-all-dry lips. The difference for me is that with other products, you can sometimes wake up with lips that are moisturized but that need a light exfoliating to get rid of the dry skin sitting on top. With this product, I don't know what it is, but there is no flaking - you just wake up with perfect-feeling lips and don't even really think about them. I've been comparing with the Laneige lip mask, and this one wins hands down. I also put a very light layer under matte lipsticks to keep them from drying out, and it's great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jmc6190 from LIFE CHANGING I have terrible dry, cracked lips. Have had them all my life. No amount of water I drink changes that, and the winter makes them infinitely worse. I spend all day peeling them so that lip balm can go on smoothly. Lip balm is pretty much just like a bandaid though, nothing ever truly heals them. It’s an awful cycle. Bought this as an attempt to help me stop peeling and touching my mouth all day long. After about a week, I TRULY saw it’s magic. I use at night and when i wake up in the the morning, I don’t have anything to peel! My lips are COMPLETELY smooth. I have never experienced this with any other product. I’m able to put balm on ONCE in the morning and that’s it, and it doesn’t cake up or sit on top, it actually is able to absorb in. I’m totally sold on this and will purchase again and again. Seriously life changing for me.

However, recently I went on a trip and was unable to take the medication with me (the packaging was too big for carry on). I figured I'd be good for a few days, but (of course) I had one of the worst flare ups of my life. My friend recommended this buttermask. I've been a big fan of Kiehl's for the past few years-- I find that it is the skincare line that works best for sensitive skin. This buttermask was no different. I applied it about 4 times that day, and by the next morning, my lips were almost entirely better. Now that I'm back home and have access to my medication as well as my new buttermask, I find myself reaching for the latter. This product is so good that it actually has replaced a medication. That's pretty impressive!

I've used Kiehl's moisturizer with no breakout issues, but it seems like I must be sensitive to one of these ingredients. If you're comparing treatments, this didn't work as well as the Laneige overnight lip mask, but it goes on more smoothly and the container is shallower, making it easy to dip and apply (the Laneige packaging is a nightmare).

I used points to try this mask. I just lick it off in the daytime because it feels weird, like my lips are hermetically sealed. Worn overnight, it heals my lips. Cracks that were beginning -- Gone! Desert wrinkling from medication -- Gone! Totally worth the splurge, both for comfort and to make lipstick stay on the next day. And there's a barely perceptible (maybe vanilla) scent, so it doesn't give me a migraine or sneezing fit

This however has replaced it. It’s not as sticky/jelly texture as the bite one BUT somehow I notice that it stays longer on my lips and somehow I feel like it creates some barrier protection. Super happy I finally tried it and will definitely repurchase. Only advantage with the bite is it comes in the tube which is more hygienic when on the go.

I’ve been using the Laneige lip mask and wasn’t super wowed by it, but I was blown away at the noticeable difference after just one night of switching to the Kiehl’s. My lips got so hydrated and smooth on the very first night, and continue to get better each night. This is definitely my new go to night lip treatment. I’m obsessed.
