Rated 4 out of 5 by MerrilyRow from Last of a Lovely Series The Jardin series from great perfume "nose" Jean-Claude Ellena has been gorgeous all the way through. This last one (he retires from Hermes this year) is fresh and sophisticated, a tough combo to pull off. It's not too girly or grandma, sweet or powdery, but lovely and compelling. No one element stands out, while the overall fragrance does, in a understated way. You can wear this to the office or on a date and everyone will be pleased, including you. Un Jardin sur le Nil remains my all time favorite from the Hermes Jardin series, though. I've repurchased it several times and there are few perfumes I can say that about.

The 5th fragrance in Hermes' Jardin series by Jean-Claude Ellena, Le Jardin de Monsieur Li opens with a burst of citrus -- While still green like the others in the Jardin series, this one is a warm and very sophisticated citrus -- not sharp but well rounded with tones of jasmine, mint, kumquat, sap, and tart orange. I have 2 others from this series and but this is my new summer favorite. I am a big fan of many of Hermes fragrances because they are different and they transport the wearer to exotic places, not with loud notes but with complex, soft scents that are both intriguing and very personal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MimieW from Finally, it's Mine!!! I first tried this Eau de Toilette when I bought the Le Jardin Coffret set. Instantly this was my favorite! The smell is so clean and fresh, it has been my go-to scent at work. As a nurse, I am very careful about wearing perfumes, while at work. Monsieur Li, as I love to call this Eau de Toilette, smells so, so very good, that I have been wearing it more often at work, albeit on a lighter and more conservative sprays than I would have if I was on a social setting. It's one of those scents that just make me feel so clean and fresh and vibrant!!! I think this is why I have been loving it when I go to work for 10-12 hours. I am just very happy to finally call Monsieur Li: Mine. LOL!!!

Some people like to switch things up for different seasons or occasions, I just love going back to this one and eventually ONLY wearing this perfume. It is of an elegant grassy tone, which I always enjoy and I think you can interpret it differently in different seasons. It is almost serene and light - kind of there and becomes a part of your personality. I've gone through two samplers from the mini sets ( each year I get a new one, kind of obsessed), and a 3.3oz, and I am ready for the mama size!

Oui c'est une eau de toilette et non pas une eau de parfum, mais vu le prix, c'est dommage. L'odeur n'est pas lourde, ni sucrée, elle est pétillante, pleine d'énergie. Une fragrance unique, difficile à décrire en raison de son originalité. Elle n'est pas non plus trop agrume, ni verte. Bref, j'adore le flacon, j'adore la couleur acidulée, j'adore l'odeur, mais bémols sur la tenue, et sur le prix. Une eau de parfum serait souhaitable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lshcat from So crisp, sweet, and beautiful This is the first Hermes scent I've enjoyed solely on its own without mixing with other scents! It's like a scaled down version of lemon Pledge, but with a soft grass crispness to it.. I know that sounds bad but I like lemon Pledge :-) It's a good every day scent, it's not sexy by any means. And it doesn't last more than an hour on my skin. But if you have the money to spend for just a daily, sort of unremarkable but still a go-to sweet happy type of fragrance, this would be the one. I layer it over Kelly Caleche for edge, very versatile light citrusy pretty scent! Knocked off a star for staying power. For the money, it should have more longevity than 60 minutes.

If you’ve ever wanted to know what it would smell like to have a cup of herbal tea in a garden that was in full bloom, the smell of evaporating rain rising up for the sun-warmed earth, then spray on some of this perfume and close your eyes before you go on your sojourn regardless of where and when you decide to make your journey. This is a skin scent, meant to be caught by a passing breeze and remind you of what tranquility would smell like if it were a tangible thing. I adore tea scents, as Jo Malone Earl Grey

Rated 5 out of 5 by calexina from favorite i have only recently begun exploring fragrances and i rotate between a few very light floral scents. when i received this as a sample, i couldn't believe how amazing it smelled. it also lasts all day. i sprayed it on around 10am and at 10pm as i was getting ready for bed i could still smell it on me. it's a really light scent that's not too overbearing and smells clean. only downside i could find is that the floral notes irritated my boyfriend's allergies and asthma, so he didn't love it as much as i do and maybe if you're super sensitive, this may not be the smell for you.
