Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are you wearing Issey Miyake...? I've worn this for a couple of years now and I think that it's a great, simple and clean smell; not to overpowering. Definitely for a more conservative and proper lady. I was managing a restaurant and one of the normal investment banking customers came in picking up their order. I walked by and he said "Are you wearing Issey Miyake...? I reply "Why.. Yes.. I don't take you as a guy who would know that by heart..." He smiles and replies "That scent is almost burned into my memory. Sometimes a good memory, sometimes quite heartbreaking, but I'll remember you next time I smell this scent again" Classy, elegant, and creates a long lasting impression..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first signature scent Let me start by saying that I am not a perfume person. I've received lots as gifts in the past but haven't liked any to use regularly. When I smelled this, however, I suddenly changed my mind! this is a scent you can wear every day, for any occasion. It's light and not overpowering and I love that it smells, somehow, like lily of the valley, one of my favorite scents. The impression it gives to me is not sexy, not overly sweet, but unique and enchanting. I can smell it all day long and still sigh every time I get a whiff of it. I got a rollerball and will invest in a larger size as soon as it runs out! :) Only wish I had found it sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Clean I love this scent for spring and the office! Although there are many florals included, the overall effect of the eau du toilette is very light, and only slightly sweet. It has a white musk base infused with notes of lily, freesia, and tuberose (the ones I could pick up). I agree with the description that it is sparkling. It is one of the few fragrances I feel comfortable wearing to work, as it is pretty but not at all overpowering. I get lots of compliments when I wear this, from both men and women. I love the rollerball packaging as a way to get a smaller amount of different high-end perfumes, for variety and to try new things, at a reasonable cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "new" old favorite Had a gift card and figured I really needed to change up my perfume repertorie. I have used D&G Light Blue for about 10 yrs along with Eternity. I ran out of Light Blue and instead of buying another, I decided to find a different "signature" fragrance because someone I work with always wears Light Blue. So the search was on. I ordered D&G Pour Femme online, smell unknown, because it got such great reviews by everyone on most sites. Unfortunately I was not as enamoured with it as the rest, so I returned it and bought Issey. Love love love it ! And a little goes a long way on me. Great choice to make a switch or find a new "love"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection in a fragrance How does one fairly rate a fragrance when sense of smell is so personal? Well, you describe the thing you love most and hope that it appeals to others. Clean, crisp and sensual are the three words I would use to describe this amazing scent. I've been using this scent for 10 years and I still love it and get the most compliments. I tried different varieties of L'Eeau de Issey such as the Ete collection, but none can match the original. Don't waste your time with the refillables either; they don't smell the same. Bite the bullet and buy the $90 bottle (3.4 oz) each time. Do yourself a favor; go to the store and try it. If you dont love it within a minute of applying, move along and try something else. WIth this particular fragrance you will know right away. Enjoy!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Distinctive Scent There are few scents out there that are special enough to stand out, and this is one of them (though it resembles Pucci Vivarra a little bit). It's a woody floral that gives a nice clean, earthy smell once it hits the middle notes. I like it a lot because it isn't a sharp scent like most other florals, and you can actually smell the individual jasmine and gardenias instead of being assaulted by ten pungent (shrill) flowers at once. It also differs in that it has a muskier base note that personally gives me a little nostalgia, and gives the scent more warmth. It's a very classic and sophisticated scent, and one that's fitting to become a timeless signature fragrance (both my mom and I wear it).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE PURCHASE YOU WILL NOT REGRET I first purchased this perfume in 2007 and boy am I ever glad I walked into Macy's that day. I have found it is light and airy, not overpowering and scrumptious.I get compliments each and everytime I wear it from men and women its fail proof. Husbands have asked what scent it is to buy it for their wives. Women have asked to make it their new signature scent. It has wonderful lasting power and when you layer it and combine the body wash, the lotion and the perfume watch out because people are going to follow you around just to keep smelling this scent. I like to try lots and lots of different scents so I dont have a signature but Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey is what I am going to stick with and there will be no turning back. Buy it!! You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scrum-diddly-umpcious Been wearing this for about 18 years. Having worked in the cosmetic field/fragrance field at a young age, I've had the pleasure of sniffing the finest and best fragrances. Usually, they have a similarity to another I've smelled. But this, is entirely unique, original and just plain awesome. It's clean, fresh and makes me feel serene, yet energized. I still dabble and cheat with other fragrances occasionally, but I always come home to Ie eau de issey, because its a class act like no other.
