At first, I wasn’t too sure about it because it is very musky smelling. However, after it dries on my skin it smells amazing! It has a little floral, citrus, and musk. It is a very elegant and sophisticated scent, perfect for wearing to work or for a night out! A little bit goes a long way, and I am very impressed with how long the scent lasts! I could smell it on me all day long. And the bottle is beautiful, this is a new favorite perfume of mine and I recommend it to everyone who asks me what I’m wearing!

After wearing it for a week, my mind has changed. On skin, it’s clean (a lovely combo of “diva” lavender and aldehydes) and warm (especially as the vanilla base notes take over), and reminds me more of 90s metallic, soapy unisex than anything dowdy. It’s lovely. If you’re in the mood for a va-va-voom, try Baccarat Rouge or Shalimar instead, but please try this one, too. It’s like a trusty silk blouse - a confidence boost, a scent that makes you sit up a little straighter, a cool hug.

I tried it on both myself and a few friends, and I love how it smells different on everyone. Plus, I like that it changes smell on your skin over time. It’s stronger at first, and has deep notes of lavender and citrus, but it winds into a warm floral fragrance that’s perfect to wear both day and night. I’m 31, live in Manhattan, and it’s a perfect scent for me — it’s rich, elegant, yet has a hint of musk and spice. It’s not an old scent, yet it’s not a young one, if that makes sense. If you like sweeter scents, I’d probably avoid this one.

Chic and bold, it's perfect to display on your vanity. This is a very concentrated formula less is more. One or two sprays are perfect for application. I feel like I stepped into the shoes of a new woman when wearing this fragrance. I feel confident and strong. It starts off so sweet like a candy shop. When the middle note hits, floral takes over the sweet. This beautiful sent ends with deep fall aromas that capture a mature feeling I wanted. One star is taken because the fragrance doesn't last more than a few hours. I received this item for free to review.

I usually go for light, more fruity floral scents. It has a strong, radiating, almost masculine scent. I layer it with YSL Mon Paris to give it a nice complexity sometimes. It reminds me of an updated version of what the Y2K African aunties used to wear. I would buy this again as a base for whatever else I want to wear on top. Longevity is on point as well. I typically spritz my chest to radiate outwards and I was still smelling it days later on the blazer I wore. The lavender comes out strong, probably not for you if you don’t like your scents too rich.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After wearing this fragrance for a few weeks, I can say this is one of the BEST perfumes I've ever worn. It matches perfectly with my body chemistry. I get soooo many compliments when I wear this scent. I absolutely love that it has notes of lavender and orange blossom. Lavender is my favorite essential oil so I knew this scent would be right up my alley. It is certainly a bold and strong scent so I wouldn't recommend for everyday but this could easily end up being a signature scent.

I normally don’t like heavy florals, but this perfume had so much more depth to it. It had floral, but also creamy, sweet notes that dried down so beautifully. It’s definitely super classy and inspired me to get dressed and made up as well! I love trying new things especially perfumes and though this was out of my comfort zone, I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try it complimentary as an Influenster. It definitely is one of my new favorites and definitely top floral! I’d buy again for sure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Emilleigh from Masculine and Mature [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Libre L'Absolu Platine by Yves Saint Laurent is a unisex take on the original Libre. The opening is vanilla and citrus and light aldehydes. I am not generally a fan of aldehydes but here they feel modern and bright. There is a bit more citrus in this flanker than the original. I haven’t smelled any other flankers so I can’t describe how they compare. The jasmine has been replaced by orange blossom and neroli, which shine in the dry down. Overall, the fragrance feels generic and I wouldn’t recommend it to any Libre lover, unless they were looking for a more masculine take on it.
