Love hate relationship

I love this product, BUT, it spew out every night. So much product has been wasted because of this. There’s definitely some kind of flaw in the packaging. I’ve tried everything possible to fix/prevent it but nothing helps.

I use once a week

I have extensions and this really makes my scalp feel cleaner and hair on scalp feel softer. A true detox shampoo, will continue to use!

Burns while using and causes itchiness

I tried a sample of this and it burned my scalp while I used it. My scalp is now severely itchy and irritated. Avoid this if you have sensitive skin. I really regret trying this.

Must try if you need to detox hair

Only giving 4 stars due to price. I have used Ouai detox for years or Kevin Murphy and prefer the k18 one. Definitely recommend and will buy again when needed.

Between this and the Ouai Detox Shampoo I would pick this one. The ouai one is amazing but it really dries your scalp and can make it flakey. This one smells good and gets rid of all build up.

good product, used once a week helps get rid of build up on hair and makes hair feel really clean.

Cap is kinda hard to open, otherwise great!

Loveeee this detox shampoo, it’s definitely expensive but leaves my hair feeling so clean for 3 days!! I have an oily scalp so this is a life saver. I use this with the repair mask and honestly have noticed a huge change in the amount of split ends I have. The cons for this shampoo is that the cap randomly became super hard to open & sometimes it leaks a little. Otherwise no complaints & great detox shampoo.

A new must

Just used this last night and the itching has STOPPED. I have a mix of 4A and 4B hair and I have a dandruff prone scalp. I tended to just shampoo twice during my wash day, but my head would still itch. This is the first time that my head is not itchy. I’m so happy I bought this shampoo so much happier.

Holy Grail

A little holy grail product! I’ve struggled with dry and itchy scalp my entire life, and this shampoo totally fixed it! I’ve tried every medicated or otc dry scalp shampoo out there and nothing has made my scalp feel as amazing as this

Best clarifying shampoo!

Fave clarifying shampoo! I use this at least 1 x per week and before getting my hair colored. It won’t weight your hair down. I use it for a first wash , and then follow with a more moisturizing shampoo, but have used it for both washes and my hair did not dry out.

I haven’t been wowed by K18 in the past (their famous hair mask did nothing for me) but decided to grab a free sample of this anyway because I’m still searching for a shampoo to replace my old holy grail, Amika Mirrorball (RIP). This photo is after testing the K18 Detox shampoo alone - without conditioner or any other products - and letting my hair air dry. Pros: my hair is *almost* as shiny as it used to be after using Mirrorball! It’s also super soft (I can’t stop touching it) and lightweight. It feels like my head just lost 10 lbs worth of oil and product buildup. Cons: I think it stripped away *too much* moisture, actually. My scalp is a little itchy/hot. It’s not bad enough to make me scratch, but it’s still uncomfortable. Overall, I’m really impressed with the results, but worry this formula is too harsh for me to use every wash day. I’d like to try it again with a conditioner to see if that counteracts the drying effect. I do think this is worth a try, especially if you struggle with an oily scalp! But if you’re like me and not ready to commit to buying a full bottle, I’ve discovered that K18 sells a mini version for half the price on their own site.

Sensitive Scalp Friendly

Finally I found something that works on my sensitive scalp! So far I’ve tried Quai, Dae, and Bondi Boost detox shampoo but none of them work on me. The Dae detox shampoo is super drying and make my scalp has tons of dandruff while the Quai shampoo makes my scalp very itchy. I highly recommend this product for anyone that has sensitive scalp and they’re looking for a color safe detox shampoo. If you have tried so many other brands but nothing works for you, give this shampoo a try to see if it helps you.
