Not great.

I have always had greasy hair and have been using Aveda's Rosemary Mint shampoo for years and loved it. Since becoming perimenopausal, my hair has changed a lot and is even more greasy now. I'll wash my hair in the morning and by the same evening it's is greasy. So thought, I'd change up my shampoo to see I'd this works. I have been using thus shampoo for about a month now and have noticed no change, in fact I think it may be worse. This shampoo is incredibly hard to wash out and in some cases, I have has to go back and rewash my hair after drying it, as I can feel this really horrible residue in my hair. I am unable to use any other products in my hair with this shampoo as it just makes it more greasy. I wouldn't bother with this shampoo and honestly I would like refund as its not cheap.

This shampoo is perfect for my dry, sensitive scalp, leaving my long, thick, wavy, greying therefore colour treated hair, hydrated and fresh. Since using I've had less need to wash my long hair so regularly (every 4 to 5 days), paired with the scalp remedy conditioner which is super hydrating!

Great product for fine hair.

Some reviews will tell you that it makes your hair sticky and feel dirty. I did have this to start but it lessened with used and gave the added benefit of volume (I have thin hair). After a few washes using it now, it does not feel dirty but I feel the product a bit and for me that's fine as it adds volume. My scalp is clear and does not itch.

I am so disappointed

I have been using aveda for years now and tried almost each one of them but I have favourites and scalp benefits was one of them. I have recently bought new one which is scalp solutions and I think I won't be able to continue with it as it leaves my hair really greasy and sticky. I hope you bring back the old version because this one just damages your brand.

Be aware Not a replacement for Discontinued Scalp Benefits

Sadly, I didn't understand that this shampoo wasn't a direct replacement for the discontinued Scalp Benefits. It foams a lot and smells quite "chemically" and dried my scalp out triggering a psoriasis flare after a year of being clear as soon as I used it. It's very harsh compared with Scalp Benefits which was amazing. It would be good for oily hair but not if you have any sensitivity or other real skin issues. Utterly Bereft. I'm going to try Shampure instead but I did try it many years ago and it wasn't a patch on Scalp Benefits. Aveda Please reconsider bringing it back!

Now what?!

I bought this shampoo when I was at my last resort and thought it might be a godsend! I have been having scalp problems for almost a year and every prescription shampoo was awful! My hairdresser used this and it was great, so I bought the set. Never again! I have waited till the end of the bottle to write this with the vain hope I was just adjusting, no such luck. This leaves my hair greasy and sticky no matter how hard I wash it out or blow dry, I have had to dry my hair immediately after getting out of the shower which has only made my skin irritation worse, and it doesn't even help the grease. So what I thought would save the day had only given me more pain, I wanted so badly to like it and now have no more options. Such a disappointment.

Très déçue

Je cherchais un shampooing pour remplacer le scalp benetit( je pouvais rester 3 jours entre 2 lavages). Tres déçue. Malgré un rincage rigoureux, les cheveux ressortent poisseux. À J+1 apres le shampooing , les cheveux tiennent droits tout seuls. J’ai un meilleur resultat avec un shampooing de super marché.

Love this

I got a sample size and had to order the full size straight away after 1 use. I suffer from scaby flakey itchy scalp when the weather starts getting cold (probably Psoriasis). As soon as it started I washed with this shampoo and saw the difference straight away. It soothed and help get rid of the itchiness flakes and scabs straight away without drying out my hair like other shampoos that are aimed at the scalp. It allowed me to continue to stretch out of my wash day to a week as usual. I love this and can't rave enough about it. Its a staple for me. I recommend that you try this out for yourself like I did. I haven't looked back

I would not buy this again

I had used the original Scalp Benefits shampoo for over 18 years and was very happy with it. I was disappointed when I found it had been discontinued but thought I'd try the Scalp Solutions instead. For me this has been a disaster. My hair doesn't feel or look as healthy as it did, something has caused my eyes to sting each time I used it and the shampoo doesn't lather. Having used it three times I cannot recommend it in any way.

I would NOT buy this product again

I used Aveda Scalp Benefits products for years. They were excellent. Please bring them back. Scalp Solutions actually makes my scalp itchy!!! It is also very difficult to get a lather. I do not recommend it and will not buy it again.
