After just one use I felt like my hair came back to life! I’ve used the “medium hair” and I also liked that one. I felt like this one made my hair nice and thick.

Floral fish fragrance

This shampoo and conditioner just didn't work for me. I have 2C 3A hair and it just pulled my curls flat. The fragrance is pretty overwhelming, like it's insanely strong. I'd compare the fragrance to grandma's rose perfume and if you live somewhere hot and humid, once you start warming up it turns to a floral fish smell? There's a whole Reddit post on Ouai smelling like fish and now I get it. The hydration level was mid at best. For the price and hype, I expected more than flat curls that smelled like floral fish.

Best for thick hair and waves/curls

I was hesitant to try a new shampoo. In particular OUAI, I heard mixed reviews about this brand. I decided to give it a try since I do have their St. Barths hair and body mist and that smells soo good and I really wanted a new shampoo. This one in particular makes my waves and curls defined. And I know it’s not even a curly shampoo. I absolutely love it.

Must have for thick hair

Amazing. I have thick hair and it cleaned my hair so well. The conditioner is also perfect for thick hair too.

nice scent but disappointing results

I really wanted to like this because the Ouai detox shampoo worked really well. And I like the scent because it smells so clean and not overpowering. Unfortunately, however, this shampoo gave me bad dandruff. Really bad. So I'll be finishing the bottle off as a body wash =(

Not great for sensitive skin

I would not recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin. Made my hair look and feel great, but I struggled with terrible breakouts on my chin/neck/jaw for months while using this product. Once I switched to a scent free conditioner, my skin cleared up. stopped and

Finally found my product!

I've bought this multiple now as I feel like I've FINALLY found the hair product that works for me. The first time I used it the change was pretty quick. my hair got super soft and it definitely added some shine to it. I use both the shampoo and conditioner with recently adding the Hair Gloss (definitely added more softness and shine)

I got this product for my daughter who has curly hair and it dried her hair out so bad. I stopped using it after 2 washes because of how dry it got.

Not for Curly/Coily Hair :(

This shampoo dried my hair ouuuttt. My hair was a tangled mess while using this shampoo. I thought maybe I was imagining things because I’ve colored my hair recently, but I switched back to my regular Shea Moisture shampoo and my hair was buttery smooth.

Smell just all day

I personally love this product it leaves my hair feeling hydrated and smooth. This one does have a scent to it, I always get compliments when I wear it due to this hair product actually staying and leaving your hair shiny.

As someone with thick wavy/curly hair, it’s hard to find a shampoo that really locks in moisture and keeps it from becoming super frizzy, but this surprisingly did a really good job. It smells really good and gives your hair the care it needs! Gifted by ouai
