Rated 5 out of 5 by from My signature scent! I had been circling around this scent for quite some time now since it is super hard for me to find a scent that doesn't irritate my nose and overstimulate it! At long last, I invested in it and I can't take it off. True, it IS an EDT meaning it doesn't have the lasting power of a parfum, but I'm ok with that. I could just reapply 5 hours later if I MUST smell it on myself again! Other people will smell it, I can assure you, as I have received compliments on it a while after application. It is a vivd yet light flowery scent. You can definitely smell the magnolia and subtle scent of grass, but experience it at a store first so you know what I mean...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect blend of soft garden notes! My mother is a perfume snob and casually hinted that she wanted a new fragrance that wasn't so trendy and easily identifiable. I thought this scent was perfect because it appeals to those who love floral, earthy, grassy, woody fragrances but when it warms on the skin after a few hours there's a subtle garden spiciness lingering on your skin. I disagree that it doesn't last long. The smell isn't as strong as a parfum after a few hours but the scent does linger in softer, but still very pleasant, notes after awhile. I purchased it for my Mom but I'm going to buy myself a bottle and I rarely wear perfume. It makes me feel like such a fashionista lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fresh and long lasting! This is my favorite of the Jardin series. There are notes of apple, pear and herbs. It's not too sweet, more of a slightly sweet but zesty freshness. What really drew me to it is it has an accord of freshly mown grass throughout the scent. That's my favorite smell in the world, and it's difficult to find it done well in a perfume. This fragrance is perfection in that regard. Plus even though the silage is soft, this lasts on clothes for 18 hours. You never get tired of it; it's just always there in a really pleasant and soothing way. I can't imagine anywhere this wouldn't be appropriate. And no allergy complaints from any picky family members or friends either! My husband loves it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new signature fragrance for me Never thought I'd find another signature fragrance. I have worn Annick Goutal's Petite Cherie for more than two decades and I love its pear, grass, and floral freshness. People have complimented me on its uniqueness. I sampled Un Jardin sur le Toit while shopping with my son and his girlfriend and I was immediately struck with its fruity freshness. It is similar to my Petite Cherie, but more lasting and complex. I love the pear, grass, and floral notes. The fragrance lasts all day for me, into the night. I have had many fragrances throughout the years but this one is a keeper. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfume I would reccomend to everyone You have got to test this perfume out for yourself. I have been recommending this left and right since I bought it, and have received so many compliments on it and it has become my favorite spring/summer fragrance I own (I have a collection, from celebrity to designer to niche). It is -perfect- for a warm day, not overwhelming at all. It smells so fresh, so lovely. And longevity is good for something that smells so light. The "Jardin" line in general is very high quality, unique stuff so I would suggest checking out all four. Sur le Toit is the freshest of the line, with a burst of spring "green" with apple. Words do not do the scent justice though. Spring in a bottle, go sniff for yourself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique I was recently introduced to Hermes Un Jardin collection, and fell in love with Un Jardin sur le Toit. It's my current obsession. I love the perfume so much and I don't think there's anything out there like it. Un Jardin sur le Nil comes close to it but it has more of a grapefruit scent to it. My sister describes Sur le Nil as the feminine acqua di gio. Sur le Toit is exactly how the name describes it...a city rooftop garden. I like that it doesn't have any floral notes. The notes I could mostly smell are trees, grass, and apples. It's complex and clean. It's perfect for spring and summer, but I am curious to try it all year round.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular Scent I'm a big perfume addict, but I can't think of anything I own that's similar to this. It's so different and unique. Almost... vegetal? Lots of fruits (I can definitely pinpoint the scent of pears) and some fresh florals. I can't adequately describe it, but it's almost exactly as the description says: a rooftop garden party. It's fantastic for spring or summer even, really refreshing. Always puts a smile on my face, my little daily indulgence. It's so lush. It has pretty decent wear, although maybe not as strong as Jardin sur le Nil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your average! I wasn't particularly looking for a new scent, but I was bored waiting for my Sephora apt. and started sniffing around. I came across this bottle and I was absolutely in love. The floral woody smell captures some of my favorite notes. This was a bit more elegant than my everyday wear, so I was thrilled to wear it on a special night out. I was impressed with how long it lasted (literally hours). It wafts a bit strong, but I think that helps make it last. Even wearing it now, I keep catching the perfume and I smile. Definitely worth it if you can handle the bolder fragrances. The price point is fair too.
