It’s not too overpowering, and gives an almost clean feeling, definitely complimented by citrus notes. Great projection, wonderful bottle & scent overall, lasts around 5 hours on skin.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I’ve tried the Valentino Uomo Born in Roma EDT for a few days now, and I love it! I’ll definitely be looking for more fragrances with a violet leaf note, because it smelled so fresh! The opening is aquatic and pleasantly but mildly sweet, and after it settles a bit, it has a more woody mineral scent. And because this is an eau de toilette, it’s a lighter fragrance, which is something I really like, especially for colognes! It’s not cloying or overly intense, and doesn’t try too hard to smell overly masculine, rather it's just a nice clean and appealing scent. I also love the bottle! It looks much better in-person than I thought it would. It's made of thick black glass, and which is pretty striking under different lights. The spikes also make it really nice and satisfying to hold. It's smooth, but very grippy, and it's like a very expensive tactile ball. I'd definitely recommend this colonge. I don't feel that it's the most divisive scent, so it's probably even a reasonably safe choice to blind buy or gift.

On my skin, it opens fresh and slightly green with the violet leaf, but it also feels soft and elegant rather than overly masculine. As it settles, the warm vetiver and woody notes come through and give it a smooth, cozy vibe. It feels confident and sexy without being loud. I like wearing it when I want something different from sweet or floral perfume, it feels modern, chic and a little edgy. It works beautifully for evenings, dates, or anytime I want to feel put-together and unique. People often ask what I’m wearing because it smells clean, interesting and a bit mysterious.

The smell is long lasting and it’s not overpowering. I recommend this perfume for the man in your life and also for yourself. It compliments a good outfit. Look the part and smell the part.

And the overall scent is also strong, and it projects really well. Although, the scent isn’t my favorite for a cologne, I would say you can’t go wrong with this cologne either way.

So perfect for a date night!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This perfume has a really rich and intense sent with hints of spice and is a perfect nighttime or date night perfume. I typically wear an amber vanilla perfume, and while at first this seemed a little strong. I was very pleasantly surprised that it didn’t overwhelm me throughout the day. I also tried this, layered with my vanilla that I typically wear and absolutely loved the combination! The packaging is so beautiful and feels extremely high-quality. I am so excited about this fragrance!

Balanced, great-smelling, long-lasting scent

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] After using Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Eau de Toilette, my impression was that I opened the box and immediately saw where the design intention was. The spray projection is created nicely, and despite that, I really like it. I would say it’s a nine out of ten because it smelled really good and it stayed for a really long time, about three days or so. I didn’t have to reapply it very much, and the strength isn’t overpowering, not strong but lightly medium, which feels very balanced. I also really want to see more feedback from my family and my friends, so overall it’s a very good product, very medley, and yeah, I’m really happy with it.
