Born in Roma Donna Purple Melancholia - Eau de Parfum

I really enjoy this version of Born in Roma. It opens with a bright fruity sweetness but quickly settles into a soft vanilla-amber scent that feels warm and slightly creamy. The sweetness is noticeable but not overpowering, and it has that signature Born in Roma DNA that makes it very easy to wear. I’ve been reaching for it a lot for evenings or cooler weather because it feels cozy but still a little glamorous. Longevity on my skin has been solid and I still catch hints of it hours later.

This is a very unique floral fragrance. It feels less like your typical soft delicate floral, and a little more edgy and bold. It’s a nice scent overall, although I can’t help but notice an underlying synthetic scent. I get a tinge of plastic or vinyl in the dry down. It’s not my favorite from the Born in Roma line, but a beautiful bottle nonetheless.

This fragrance is a masterpiece of contrats. When I first spray, I m struck by a deep, poetic sense of nostalgia, yet it feels incredibly empowering.

I just received mine today and I love it! My husband asked me what I was wearing before I could ask him if he liked it so that’s always a good sign! I own all the other BIR scents and I think this one is definitely the most mature and I will mostly be wearing it at night!

The smell is a sweet but mature scent which you can wear daily. I love it for date nights but also appreciate the smell so much that I also love it for day to day! It lasts for awhile and stays on clothes!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] So far I have really enjoyed this scent. I’ve liked most of the Valentino scents I have tried, so this did not surprise me too much. This fragrance has a rich, sweet floral smell. On me I do find there is an almost powdery initial dry-down that then melds to a sweeter base. It is a strong fragrance with good projection, so I find a little goes a long way. I would definitely recommend this as a nice nighttime scent!

Beautiful Balance of Plum & Musk

The silage is juicy, sweet, mysterious and slightly powdery. It’s a great fragrance for a date night or a girl’s night out. The bottle is gorgeous too.

Favorite perfume ever

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I am obsessed with this perfume. It smells so good I can’t stop wearing it. The plum smell is definitely strong but not in an overbearing way. I haven’t smelled the original version of this, but this one is a perfect mix of fruity and fun while also still being deep enough for a night out. The packaging is so cute and seems really well made, plus there’s a ton of product in the bottle which I really really appreciate.
