Rated 2 out of 5 by erika1913 from Cute but not worth it Pros: a true lip oil! It’s light (oily), true high shine finish. I’d recommend it as a good lip topper. It’s an adorable bottle. Dries clear and a bit less shiny when it’s more dry. Cons: Doesn’t have the gisou hair oil scent. Yes it smells like canola oil. It’s 8mL (more than the typical 6). The top of mine cracked quickly (the packaging design can be messy so I tried to close it tightly, it can spill out the side a bit like the hair oil). The applicator is thin and feels flimsy. Not long lasting at all (eat and it’s gone). It’s fun but definitely not a staple. It’s not effective as a lip mask for overnight either. It’s great if you need to add a little extra hydration or shine to something you already have on though

Rated 2 out of 5 by natalie33 from Read Before You Buy This product is so beloved on social media that I had to give it a go as soon as it landed at Sephora; however, I wish I hadn't. While the glass packaging and unique shape is beautiful, that's where the magic stopped for me. For me, the product itself wasn't hydrating - even for a lip oil - and tasted like oil. Despite the taste and few benefits, I still used this until I noticed that debris was collecting at the bottom of the bottle. I couldn't figure out what it was until I saw others complaining about it too, and realized it's likely fuzz from the applicator that slowly degrades. Honestly, this was SUCH a disappoint product and I really wish they would fix the issue with the applicator because that's just not something I can look past, particularly when there are hundreds of lip oils on the market.

I paid for this by myself and it is actually the worst lip product I have ever used. Chapstick at your local drugstore is much better. I used it for 5 days to make sure I wasn't crazy but I swear this product makes your lips drier?? It smells bad, the applicator always gets stuck (this might just be the one I received), and pretty pricey for what it is. Do not buy this... spend your money on other lip products. The only pro is the aesthetic. Returning immediately.

I love the applicator as it is well made to easily apply the product onto the lips! I like how nice and lightweight the lip oil feels on my lips, the formula is not too sticky, greasy, and droopy. To be honest, I think this lip oil is a nice to have for the summer but not a must have for me as it's kinda pricy for a lip oil. Overall, I am very satisfied with how this lip oil turned out, my lips feel hydrated and healthy! This product was gifted by Gisou to me in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ricezzzz from this is not lip oil this is vegetable oil I was so excited to buy this, literally would refresh the site everyday to see if it had been stocked. Now that I have it, I'm extremely disappointed. This stuff smells, tastes, and feels exactly like if you put vegetable oil on your lips. It also leaves my lips feeling drier than they initially were. The applicator is designed so poorly as well. I really wanted to love this, but it's going straight back where it came from. And all these positive reviews are shocking, they must have been incentivized/paid to say good things. If you look at the more recent reviews, they are more accurate to the poor quality of this product. Don't give into the hype and save your money, unless you plan on using it to cook with.

The packaging is TO DIE FOR. But... that was the best part about it. The formula was very nice, glossy, and flattering. However, it left my lips dry after it wiped off. My main turn off about this lip oil is the smell and taste. It literally feels like I'm rubbing Crisco on my lips. Additionally, the price is ridiculous. I will be returning.

It isn’t sticky or greasy and applies well with the the applicator. I reapply it three times a day. It absorbs well but my lips tend to be chapped still so I add a layer of lip balm on top. Pros: 1. Would make a lovely gift . It’s cute and a fun addition to your beauty routine . 2. Formula is comfortable on the lips and gets absorbed easily. 3. Doesn’t have a weird taste or smell. 4. Can be used on top of matte lipstick to give it glossy look. Cons: 1. Not a must-have since I still need to rely on my lip balm.
