Modern, understated and so flattering

Slow Ride is a warm-toned nude with a hint of brown and rose that feels effortlessly cool. It's the kind of shade that adds polish and structure without being loud. It gives me that defined-lip look but still feels very natural and wearable. The formula is light as air, super pigmented and really does stay in place. It sets quickly into a soft matte that feels comfortable and doesn't dry out my lips like many others do. Perfect for everyday or when I want something neutral but impactful. It's the perfect nude when you want something calm, confident and a little edgy.

Smooth, warm and effortlessly polished

Vain is a warm, medium rose with just enough depth to feel chic without being too bold. It strikes that perfect balance between soft and defined, making it ideal for both everyday wear and more put-together looks. The formula is one of the best I've tried. It goes on like a thin liquid, sets quickly and stays in place for hours. It feels lightweight, doesn't transfer much and wears down evenly without drying out my lips. It's one of those shades that instantly makes you look more refined. Polished, warm and easy to wear.

Perfect red

I received defective product at first. Customer service was prompt and send me a new one. In absolute love with it. It suits medium skin tone.

Is not kiss proof

Beautiful color, but transfers onto everything. I am really disappointed because I was led to believe this was kiss proof.

My Holy Grail Liquid Lip

I've tried countless liquid lipsticks over the past 10+ years and have always come away disappointed. Most liquid lip products are downright unbearable to wear due to patchiness or stickiness. I was about to give up my search when I finally tried the Nars Powermatte pigments. These are the lipsticks of my dreams. The color is rich and opaque, the product glides on effortlessly, and it never cracks or get sticky with wear. These are closer to a satin finish than a true matte, which is a positive for me. The staying power on these is great as well. I will forever repurchase these, and only wish they'd bring back some discontinued shades (one of which I wore on my wedding day).

Longevity depends on the color?

I purchased Somebody to Love a while back and it has lasted me a long time. Love the color. On my lips, the shade is a medium brown. Also, it lasts hours even after eating. When I saw the recent sale I was excited to purchase a couple of lighter shades to try and purchased Walk This Way and Bad Guy. I was pretty disappointed. They are pretty colors but neither lasts throughout the day, completely wearing off after a meal. Not sure if the formula has changed or if the lighter shades have no staying power. Also I notice my lips tingle and get irritated with the Walk This Way shade, feeling more drying on my lips. I would not purchase these again I may try Somebody to Love once I run out, just to see if something has changed.

Okayish

the formula and applicator is good. what I don't like is the shade reference and description is not at all accurate. The medium shades always tend to be lighter on medium skin tone which gives a washed out look. But with the dark liner or dark base they can look good.

Not a big fan

The dark color of Nars Powermatte bleeds and smudges easily.
